How to safely upgrade from ChronoForms v5 and v6 to v7.

Overview

The issue is that there is no direct migration path from v6 to v7, and the user wants to avoid disrupting existing forms.
Install ChronoForms v7 alongside v5 and v6, as all three versions can run safely together. Obtain a new validation key for v7 to complete the setup.

I currently have version 5 and 6 installed.

I've migrated manually what I need from version 5 into 6..... My forms in 6 are great.

I'm ready to uninstall v5.

But I'd like to move to version 7..... Then migrate forms from 6 into 7.

What's the safety way to do this?

HI mareyes,

At present there is no simple way to migrate forms from v6 to v7 :-(

You can however, migrate the v5 forms into v7 if you need to.

with v5 and 6 installed, is it safe to install v7 for now (have all 3)?

That way I can keep working without disruption to what I currently have.

As far as I know you can run all three versions together quite safely - I have them all on my test site.
