No Error Message when Validating

rwoody 04 Sep, 2008
Hi there!
First of all for general information - I'm using ChronoForms V2.3.8.1 on a Joomla 1.15 install - and in general is working great.

I've built a form with several required fields - When submitted the validation works - but no error message pops up, the page just flips back to the form, not giving the user an indication of what needs to be corrected. It's been awhile since I used ChronoForms, (earlier version of Joomla - 1.12), but I'm sure that a pop up message appeared when the user did not complete all fields. I took a look at the JavaScript and yep - they are there (the error messages) but I'm not getting them.🙄

In the validation tab - I've tried both MooTools and Prototype - both validate, but neither provide the error messages. Have I overlooked a setting that I've not clicked to turn on those messages? I've search the forums, but just not finding my exact problem.

Here's a link to the site (under-construction) http://98.131.82.237

Thanks in advance

Hi rwoody,

maybe the errors appear in the same color as the background and so you cant see them ?

update: I view your page and the errors appear under the fields.!!

Cheers

Ahhh... I see what you are saying - I was expecting a pop up box and didn't even see the text. ( 😶 duh!!) Interesting - It does not display on the Family Name and Address - I'll go back and look at the validation tab again.

Thanks

Ok, it's all perfect now... darn spaces will get you every time!!🤣 -

Thanks for your "extra set of eyes" Sometimes when you've been working on something for awhile...you don't see the "obvious".

Have a super day!!!
