Submit a form without page reloading.

Overview

The page reloads after form submission, which closes the accordion containing the form and hides the confirmation message.
Enable the AJAX setting in the form's interface settings to allow submission without a full page reload.

Is it possible to submit a small contact form without reloading the whole page? If it does, my accordion which contains the form closes and the message with the download link is not visible anymore.

Yes, enable AJAX, Settings > Behaviors > Interface > Form settings > AJAX
