Two parallel forms wont validate

waldi 21 Aug, 2008
I got two forms called in one webpage via the chronobot. In FF everything works fine. In IE however only the first form is validated, the second fails.
If you validate the second form first then you can notice that the validation happens, but the form is submitted anyways. The first form always works. I dont think its a JS colission.

Both forms are within tabs. You can see them here:

Help is appreciated!

Which Chronoforms version do you have ? V0.6 of the bot will not work well with V3.0 of chronoforms!

Its Chronoforms v2.3.5 and Chronocontact 0.5.

Hi, I suggest you update to 2.3.9 first then you can check it again!

Hi again, i updated to newest releases.
Fact is if i use two forms Mootools is includes two times (which is bad). So i removed inclusion from the bot and placed it in the template.
Under IE still no good...

Hi Waldi, another user fixed the issue by assuring that the forms fields have different names and used mootools, that's al!!

Allright, besides the hack for using more than one form (maybe this should be fixed by adding the form name to field validation) i had a problem with the lightbox effect. It used prototype and scriptalicious...you can imagine. I converted the effect by hand into Slimbox for Mootools 1.1 and now everything works fine (hope).

BTW: What are the plans for mootools 1.2 in chronoforms?

Thanks for the tip!

Hi waldi,

I cant get the comment about fixing the validation, did you ix it or not and how ?🙂

no plans for mootools 1.2 with Chronoforms before Joomla does so or Chronoforms will not work fine!

Max
