Hi
I have the problem, that the message "You didn't select the correct image." will come by submit a form.
When i delete this in the form and make a form without Security Image, then the form will be sent - but not 1 x to the
mailadress - it will sent 3 x the same in the same second.
i mean, the security image will failed on this in the background.
can you help me?

so - i have found anythings on the web. now, i have this situation:
when i open the form with menu, the form will work. when i open the form with plugin (in a contribution), the form will work, but on sending, i have the message "You didn't select the correct image."

Just commenting to say I see your post, so you know you're not being ignored, but that I don't know how to help. You'll have to wait for Max to help you with that one I think

in joomla, when i search with "chrono", i will find:

in the zip installation-file i find nothing from another plugin. another plugin will not installed by new installed chronoform 6. in older versions, it was a plugin. but now, nothing in chronoform 6 installation...

ok - now i find in a older folder from my pc a "plg_chronoforms6.zip". I have installed this and now - WOW - it will works.
BUT - why is this not in the installations-zip from chronoform 6?? - or - where i can download this on your website??? i found nothin...

so I'll probably have to say goodbye to chronoforms. pity, I was very happy with it so far.

an in the next post's i have write, that i found the chronoform content plugin and with this will work the form!!!!!
So - your answer "I turned on the plugin, and it appears to be working now." can not be serious??!!!
I know that for a long time that it works with the plugin.

By the way: I received the form 08:06 three times. You have probably but then only received the message that the captcha was not right.

Having a look at some other things, I'll let you know.

For some reason the secicon code being stored in session is being overwritten when submitted, so that when checked it's getting the wrong value. I'll investigate more in a few hours, have to go out now.

i have tested with recaptcha. this will work.
But chronoform should also work otherwise (original) with security image. or else give her the plugin again as a download.

the chronoforms system plugin is supposed to replace the content one, if it doesn't work for you then I guess something on your website is conflicting with it, does the form work correctly in the admin area? Does it work when you click the view link in the forms manager?

the form work correct:
- in the admin area, when i click the view link
- in frontend, when i open the form directly with a menupoint
only, when the form ist open in a article with "{chronoforms6}form{/chronoforms6}" it will not work. and this is not in one site. i have tested this on 3 different sites!!

hello - ok, i will made a new attempt...
i have a joomla-installation for testing. on this installation, i have deleted all chronoforms plugin/components etc.
then i have installed chronoform 6.1.4. this installation will not include the chronoform plg_chronoforms6. that's right. you say in a older thread, that this
function is in the component from chronoform 6. ok!
then, i have made (eg. activate) the demo form "basic contact form". here, the only change i have made, is the email-adress for me.
then, i have insert the "form" in a article with {chronoform6}formname{/chronoform6). this form/article is open with by a menupoint.
at this time, all is worked.
i can also open the form/article by click on the menupoint. the form will show - ok.
then, i fill the form and i will click on "sending". the form will try and the end is, that i have the message, that i have marked a false security icon. no mail will send.
then, i deleted the security icon function in the form. i fill out the form an the form will be sending on mail - BUT: i get 3 mails on same second!! (i mean, that
this is the problem, that i get a message before with false security-icon).
then, i installed and activated the plg_chronoforms6. fill out the form and sending. all work's fine and i get 1 mail with data from form.

conclusion: i mean, this is a problem in the component, that sending or processing the form 3x - then, in the background, change the security-icon 3x and by the check, the false icon is marked. but, this is only a guess by me.

new conclusion: i had an other joomla install. here, the form have worked without content plugin 6. then, i have nevertheless installed and activated the content plugin 6. the form had worked. BUT: when i now deactivate the content plugin 6, then i will get the message "You didn't select the correct image."!
When i activate the plugin, it will work, but, i have no chance now, that the form will work without the content plugin.
when i denistall/install new chronoform 6, it works not. i become the same message not correct image. i have deleted the browser cache, joomla cache etc.
is there one thing in a sql tabel or other?

have a joomla-installation 3.9.10. chronoform has never been installed here.
after install chronoform 6.1.4, i have made a normal contact formular with "new - demo - basic contact form, a very basic contact form".
insert the form with {chronoforms6}formular01{/chronoforms6} in a article. then fill out the form on website. result is: You didn't select the correct image. - no mail with data.

deactivated in the chronoform-admin: Check security fieldsSecurity fields (reCaptcha, security image, honeypot) will be auto checked.
fill out the form on website. result is: We have received your message, thank you! - but: i received 3 mails with data from form.

made a menu-point with directly call the form (not in a article). fill out the form an all is ok. result: We have received your message, thank you! - and 1 mail to my mailbox.

and now - is there anyone who can take care of this problem? after all, I bought chronoform and paid...

Apologies for the late answer!

This means that you have some plugin on your website which affects the articles and causes this problem, please try the following:

1. Disable the Chronoforms "content" plugin.
2. Disable ALL 3rd party content plugins on your Joomla site
3. Disable the Joomla cache

How does the form work in article now ?

why work this all, when i install and activate the chronoform content plugin - i mean: plg_chronoforms6.zip
when this is active, the form will work!

i think - no, it is so: the handling in the integrated version (without: plg_chronoforms6.zip) is different to the handling with plg_chronoforms6.zip.

Ok, usually the repeated save/email is caused by something on the website conflicting with the form.

Does your form have any security fields ? please try to use a Honeypot field, does it help ?

The image upload issue here is known, apologies for that, please use the snag.gy website for uploading images for now

please please read the post's here. i have made many hours different thing's. and yes - other security fields will work. i have tried with google reCaptcha.
please search in your code - different things in content-plugin to integrated version without plugin.
i think, many other users have older installations (from older times) with activated plugin - then it works. but when a user made a new installation, then the problem is there.
i hope, you can find anything.
and my offer: you can have access to my testinstallation - give me a way to get you the logins... secure

that's right😟... with themler template it will not work. i have the temler-template edit (delete all backgrounds and other things) to a basic template. watch here: www.2e-tronic.ch/cms2 (choin menupoint "form in article".
when i activate your content plugin, then the form works with this template from themler.

your function with form in article not work with themler-themes.
i think, you must search in your code (different function/handling with and without chronoform content plugin 5).

Clearly I meant themes other than the default but thanks for the snark. I don't work here, I'm trying to help you in my own time for free.

So, if all works fine with the Joomla default theme AND the system plugin then your theme is conflicting with the system plugin, but it will not be easy to find why this happens.

What is the problem you have if you install and enable the content plugin ?

when i have installed and activated the "plg_chronoforms6.zip", there is no problem. the form will work ok.
i dont know, the themler theme have coding for "buffer"-sorry. but when i install a original theme from themler from the website from themler, the problem is still there. i have not made anything coding buffer self in the theme.
i hope, you can find it, what is different for using "plg_chronoforms6.zip" and not using "plg_chronoforms6.zip" (such the component and ChronoengineGcore2)

The system plugin works better if you have cache enabled on your website, and it can work in any component, not only the articles.

But if your theme is conflicting with it then just use the content plugin, or use the module and call the module inside an article.
