Multipage form back button keep data when go forward

This is the scenario: user reached step 3, filling in all the fields in step 1, 2 and 3, now he clicks on the back buttons and go back to first step; he edit datas then go forward to next steps but all the fields are empty.

I would like to let user go back and forward to the pages without losing data entered in the fields.

Is there a way to do it?

What are the data providers for the "Display form" actions in the 3 pages ? and are you using the "Multi page" action or not ?
