Checkbox - strange behaviour of ghost value

Hi

I'm using as simple checkbox (not checkbox group).

Expected Result:
If the checkbox is checked then the value 'yes' should be saved to the database.
If the checkbox is unchecked then the value 'no' should be saved to the database.

Configuration:
under General -> Value: value set to 'yes'
under Advanced: ' Enable Ghost' is activated and the value set to 'no'

Result:
regardless if the checkbox is checked or not the value saved to the database is always 'no'

I'm using latest Chronoforms version and Joomla 3.8.10

I guess I'm doing something wrong. Any hints how to fix the issue ?
