create a quiz with results that link to profiles

cruser 08 May, 2018
I am wanting to create a quiz/questionnaire form that will match the quiz results to an article or profile page if that is possible. For example, let's say a student needs help in academics and wants to find a tutor in his/her area. I'd like to create a form that he/she can fill out, submit and be instantly shown 4 (or more/less) tutors in their area that can help based on the way the student answered the questions. Is this too far outside of Chronoforms capabilities? Instead of having the "quiz" results displayed I'd like for links to tutors in their area displayed.

Hi cruser,

Yes it's possible, ChronoForms can provide you with the framework to do this but the logic of how you find recommendations will need some careful design thought.

Thanks Bob. I guess the most important answer would be the location of the student/tutor, then academic subject, so on and so forth. Do you have any tutorials available that are similar to what I am wanting to do?

I am thinking of using CF for the tutors to create their page/profile as a Joomla article. They will have answered the same questions as the potential student for example (1) Where do I live? Thistown, USA (2)What do I need help in? Math

The student will answer those questions and have whatever tutor show as a result/answer/suggestion.

HI cruser,

I don't know of any tutorials like this. If you can work out the structure of your database tables and the MySQL queries that will give you the info you need then it shouldn't be hard to include that logic in the form.

PS There are several learning management components around - might one of these do what you need?

Thank you for the insight Bob! It is possible that I do need one of the learning management components.
