Chronoform stopped sending mails all of a sudden

How to fix ChronoForms that suddenly stop sending emails.

Overview

The issue is typically caused by a change in the mail server configuration by the hosting provider.
Test the Joomla mail function and, if needed, change the email sending method in CF, such as switching from SMTP to PHP mail.

All of sudden my Chronoforms don't send anymore. Front-end seems OK, no errors and I'm able to see the thank you page. But the mails aren't being send, since a week or so. Absolutely nothing has changed on my end, for the past 6 months or so. I don't know where to start troubleshooting.

Any suggestions?

Hello hereiam1977,

Then it must be some mail server change, which version do you have ? can you Joomla website still send emails (you can test this using the mail test button in the Joomla config) ? if yes then does the sent email settings (from/to..etc) match those in the Chronoforms email ?

Best regards

Thanks very much for your quick response and good suggestion. Apparently the hosting provider changed something. I selected a different method (PHP mail instead of SMTP) and everything is working again.

The version from Joomla is ancient by the way (2.5.4), it's a site that I've created some years ago, but that's not being actively maintained anymore.
