Hi all,
I have created this page www.raceacrossapulia.com in which I use different forms to enroll in the race.
It works fine for the one on the long race in Italian, English and French, but on the RAA100 site where there is only for the Italian language even if the form points to the right one, when I click "Invio" (Submit) it doesn't change to the message I set up to acknowledge the correct sending of the form (it is ok on the other 3 pages). In the module when I do the test it works fine and it gives the message at the end and above all it sends the email, to both admin and person who compiled the form. Does anyone know why this is happening?
Thank you very much.
Julius
Hi Bob,
thank you for taking your time.
You are right I just gave you the site link not the one pointing to the form.
The link to the form is: http://www.raceacrossapulia.com/index.php/it/la-gara100/iscrizione-raa100nuovo
On the other side the form that works is here: http://www.raceacrossapulia.com/index.php/it/la-gara-it/iscrizione-raa
One question. The noise you hear I hope is the one coming from the video that starts once you land on the main page (btw that is just the introduction music to the video which is an Iron Maiden intro), because if not then I am worried.
Again thank you for trying to help.
Ciao,
Julius
Hi Julius,
I suspect that the problem is caused by the SEF URLs - the form action UL is . . ./index.php/it/la-gara100/iscrizione-raa100nuovo?chronoform=Iscrizione_RAA100&event=submit
Please try setting the Relative URL to No as in the FAQ I linked to.
You can right that the noise was the video intro - I have a personal dislike of pages that auto-play audio or video as I am usually listening to something else while I browse and the noise is a big intrusion. Other people may love it.
Bob
Hi Bob,
I tried to follow all the guidelines in your FAQ, but it didn't work.
The first thing was to set to YES the relative URL, but it didn't change anything (all the other forms are on NO as well but work fine).
I tried with the other suggestions, but nothing.
What I noticed was that while the form in the test environment worked fine (menaning it was constructed properly) the address in the address bar was pointing to something different compared to the one on the website (different alias after the "chronoforms=" part).
I just have not been able to direct it to the correct form name.
In conclusion what I did was to delete the forms and create a new one with all new form names and alias and it is working now.
What can I say I thought this was the best way to find a solution even if I would have preferred to understand where the mistake was in first place.
I have thoug one more question.
If for the form I can add all the modules around making it look like all the other pages, how can I do the same for the thank you message?
I'd like to thank you for your time and patience.
Have a nice evening,
Julius
Hi Bob,
just a quick message to say that once I put all the modules to the form they appeared in the Thank you message too.
Thank you,
Julius
