CF6 form alias different than form title causes email to break

jcalvert 11 Aug, 2017
I just discovered that if the alias is different than the title of the form, the email doesn't work.

My form title is "emergencyForm", and the alias was "emergencyform" ... this didn't work... no email was sent out. By changing the alias to emergencyForm... email works fine again.

Hi JC,

How did you run the test ? using the Preview/Open form link in the admin ? or the form is inside an article ?

I just filled out the form in the front end of the website and submitted it. No email was sent. When I changed the alias to be same as the title, the email was sent.

Hi JC,

I understand, but its important to know how did you display the form in the first place, was it a menu item of type Chronoforms ? or an article with the form displayed using the plugin ? or the link from the forms manager ?

It was in an article using the plugin.

Hi JC,

Great, that helped finding a small glitch, it should be fixed in the next update!

The issue is that the alias was not case sensitive, so you had to have it exactly as its in the plugin call, otherwise it would not work as expected.
