I upgraded from CF version 5.0.14 to version 6.0.3 on Joomla 3.7.0.
After installation I got a message saying "Component not found" but it does show up in the administration menu. Trying to open version 6 gives "Table 'xxxxxx_db5.#__chronoengine_forms6' " doesn't exist.
I tried installation twice with the same results. Any suggestions?
Hi capeinfo,
What database are you using? Is this PostGRESQL?
There is something amiss with the DB code as the #_ in the table name should be automatically replaced with your Joomla! database prefix.
Does a table exist with the prefix?
Bob
Hi Bob
Database is MySQL.
Closest existing table name to that is sdxbv_chronoengine_chronoforms
Thanks
Carl
Hi Carl,
The component is listed as installed when you try to manage "Extensions" in the Joomla admin ? if yes then please try to uninstall and install again.
Do you get any other error messages ?

Hi Max
Do I need to uninstall V5 before I install V6? I don't recall having to do that before.
No other error messages.
Thanks
Carl
Same problem again:
After install is get: "An error has occurred. 404 Component not found. Return to Control Panel"
If I look in Admin menu, both V5 and V6 are there.
Hi Carl,
What's your PHP version ?

Hi Carl,
are you able to check the server error logs for any hints after the install fails ?

Hi
I couldn't find anything in the error logs. I tried installing over the V6 that showed as being installed and this time it was successful and table 'sdxbv_chronoengine_forms6' does now exist.
But I now have two instances of Chronoforms installed: V5 (which still works correctly) and V6 (which is empty). So not an upgrade at all!
Thanks
Carl
Hi Carl,
Good, and there is now a new update for v6
Well, v6 is a new version, its not an update, its not possible to make an update from v5 to v6, many things may not work as expected, so its better to give users the freedom to choose between using the v5 or the new v6.
