Cannot place new boxes in container

NJM 30 Mar, 2017
Hi there,

Something weird I have is that, when I put an existing box in a container and I save it, it always remains outside of the container. Isn't is possible to place existing boxes in a container ?

Situation:

I created a form with 5 text fields.
Afterwards I added a container and I dragged 3 text fields (from the existing ones)
It is possible to drag the text fields into the container.
Then I save.
When I reopen the boxes are outside of the container.

What am I doing wrong? Isn't is possible to drag them into the container?
When I select a new text field, it isn't any problem.
I just want to avoid having to recreate all my existing boxes (it's about 20 boxes)

Thanks in advance,
kind regards,
JM

Hi JM,

Not something I've seen reported before. I can't think of an immediate explanation. By all means PM me the site URL, the form name, and a SuperAdmin login and I'll take a quick look.

Sorry, the website is offline for the moment (in dev).
It's really weird. I can add NEW fields, but when I add an existing field, they are all "kicked out" the container and are set to root. Then I try to replace them to the container but each time it's saved, it's always back to root-level

I just did a new test,
If I have a container in a container, and I place an existing field/box, then the container is kicked out as well.
Aaarghh...

Hi JM,

Yesterday a new Chronoforms version was released, v6, please try to install it and give it a try, it will install as a new extension and you can keep your existing forms intact, hopefully it will not have this problem + it has better data saving features and it should help with the soccer/players data.

Best regards,
Max
