Original Registered Joomla Users Cant Logon

Joomla 3.6.5, Chronoforms5
Have created a Joomla registration form using the Joomla Registration action. It works fine and new users can logon to frontend, but users who originally registered with the default Joomla registration module can no longer logon - get a "Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet" message. This includes me, admin. I can access the backend, but cant logon to the frontend
Not sure how to fix this... .

Hi hangbill ,

Sorry, no idea - the ChronoForm will only change the settings for the new user.

I suggest that you check the Site Admin > Users page to see what has happened with those original users.

Now I can't get into Joomla backend. Can get into cPanel but not Joomla Backend, even from cPanel. The Users table looks fine, administrator is there together with the other original registered Joomla users.

The registered Joomla users using the new Chronoform reg tool can access the frontend fine.
Any ideas why this is happening?

Sorry no idea at all, as I said I doubt this has to do with ChronoForms directly as that does not change the user table, or control site access.

Have you checked the user_usergroup_map table to see if something has been corrupted there?

Installed a backup, all is well.
But still dont know why this happened so this is a concern... .
