I haven't edited forms in the last few months. Now when I try to save (even from just a form name change) I get a save failed message and then it tries to add a new form. It seems like it is not even trying to save my changes, brings up a blank form and then tries to save that without a name.

All settings seem to be in order. Further, the problem seems to be this one form. Is there any way I might be able to salvage it without rebuilding it?

Take a form backup if you don't already have one, put it somewhere safe. (If you have a database backup it's also possible to recover a form from that if necessary).
Try setting site Error Reporting to Maximum temporarily and see if you get any useful error messages.
