Not submiting forms after server migration

germanru 28 Nov, 2016
Hello, I would really appreciate any help to fix this issue, we have migrated our whole website to a new server, before that our forms were working perfect, but after the migration we get an error "The following from address failed: admin@teneoevents.eu"

http://teneoevents.eu/index.php/component/chronoforms/?chronoform=registrationlab5

We use Gsuite fro google for our emails and I have no idea what the problem can be. Any help?

Hi germanru,

Can you receive emails from your Joomla website ? if yes then what is the "from" address in the received email ?

Best regards,

Hi germanru,

What is the Email address in the Joomla! site Global Configuration? if that is different try using it as the From address and see if that works.

Hello Admin and GreyHead, I am using the same email address in joomla Global Configuration and in Chronoforms. Have a look

The from address is the same admin@teneoevents.eu

All our email addresses are working fine, I sent several test email from my address german.ruiz@teneoevents.eu to admin@teneoevent.eu and we get them, in general all email addresses of the company are working fine throught browser in gmail and outlook. What about the SMTP Host? can it be the problem? I am completely lost... ((((

Hi germanru,

Not sure if this is it but please remove the spaces from the To Email box, CF isn't clever enough to spot them. It might just be that is the problem.

Ok guys, after hours and many attempts I did it, I share the changes I've made to make the form work again, I am not sure what the problem was because before migrating to our new server it was working with the configuration as you can see here:

And to make it work again in our new server this is the new configuration:

That's why I was asking you guys if the SMTP Host may be the problem, anyway it is strange because before we were and now we are working with gmail. In conclusion, after changing ax1.axaide.net for smtp.gmail.com, using atentification and changing the port the forms are working again. Hope it will be useful for the future in case someone have the same problem. Big thanks for your help guys. Regards from the sunny Barcelona in Spain.
