Hi Bob
I am wondering whether Chronoform could be used to show CV/resumes for candidates looking for a job in the following way:
1)
I am going to upload the CV’s and not the user. This is an important fact since normally it is the candidates who uploads their CV and related documents to their candidate profile.
2)
The CVs will have to be linked to a main category via a teaser. Main category could e.g be Technicians and Engineers. It must be possible to have several teasers in a main category.
3)
Each teaser should then link to the relevant Subcategory e.g. electronics, medical, chemistry. In the subcategory the employee’s CV and related documents then should be found via the link in the teaser by interested employers. It is important that one teaser only links to one Candidate profile
4)
Interested employers then could go to the relevant main category and look at the various teasers. If the employers find something interesting they could go deeper into an interesting candidate CV via the link in the teaser.
5)
Finally, employers should be able to download a candidate’s documents
If you do not think that Chronoform is able to perform above but maybe have the knowledge of another program which are able to “do the job” please inform me?
Thanks and best regards

Hi Nina,
Sorry, I over-looked this post.
Yes you can do this - it will take some planning and some custom code.
I would probably upload all the CVs into a single folder (you could create a form to do this but FTP is simpler).
I would create a database table with columns for the category and sub-category names and ids (you could use Joomla! Categories if you prefer) plus the file name and any other relevant info.
Then you can use a DB Read to get the information you need for a particular category or sub-category (this would probably be a good case for using AJAX calls to update the form when the user makes a choice).
