compatibility with Joomla 3.5.1

ataylor14 09 Jul, 2016
Hello.
Are there any issues that have been detected for Chronoforms 5.0.11 and Joomla 3.5.1?

I read that there are some issues and solution with Chronoforms v.5.0.10 at https://www.chronoengine.com/faqs/70-cfv5/5272-chronoforms-v5-with-%3Cspan%20class=

But how about joomla 3.5.1 and Chronoform 5.0.11? A related question, should one upgrade to 3.5.1 or just wait for the next release?

Thank you
Kind regards
Amelia

Hi Amelia,

I don't know of any particular differences between Joomla! 3.5 and 3,5,1 as far as ChronoForms is concerned. I suggest that you use Joomla! 3.5.1 now, there is an upgrade to 3.6 due next week but it may take a while for that to settle down and for any new issues to be resolved.

Hello Bob

Thank you for the answer. I am not yet using 3.5.1 but wondered whether I should upgrade to that. What concerned me is that I read there were some back-end compatibilities issues with Chronoforms 5.0.10.

I am using Chronoforms v. 3.0.11 so I wondered whether the same issues regarding PHP Mailer and backend template apply to the combination Joomla 3.5.1 + Chronoforms 5.0.11?

But you are saying all is well? safe to upgrade?

Thank you
Amelia

Hi Amelia,

Yes, it is safe to upgrade. CF 5.0.11 was released back in March and I don't think that Max had all of these issues fixed, that said they are relatively minor and your forms should continue to work OK.
