Connection name can NOT be empty!

boyjah 17 Jul, 2015
I have created a form with Chronoforms and am able to view a list of records using chronoconnectivity, but any attempt to edit an item on the list (New or Delete) or search or change the number of items to show per page results in the error message: Connection name can NOT be empty!

How can I address this? And is there anyplace where I can find complete documentation for chorine connectivity?

Hi boyjah,

This sounds as though it might be a problem with SEF URLs - what URL do you see when this message is displayed?

I don't use SEF urls on my site
URL = http://www.wwoofjapan.com/main/index.php?option=com_chronoconnectivity&chronoconnection=HostReportsADMIN&lang=en

Hi boyjah,

That looks to me like a valid URL assuming that your listing name is HostReportsADMIN - I took a look but can't see it as a Guest.

I have now set all permissions to Public

Hi Boyjah,

Ah, the URL with the error is missing the form name
http://www.your_domain.com/main/index.php?option=com_chronoconnectivity&view=connection&lang=en
That is being set as the action URL in the search form.

I'm afraid that I don't know CC well enough to suggest why this is happening though :-( I don't see any place in the Admin where it is being set.

Solved: I was using the Front End View URL from the administrative back end to test the form, which apparently does not allow for a preview of all functions. I made a proper menu link in the front end so now the form name is properly being inserted into the URL for all functions of the data display. Thank you very much for your effort!
