File uploads in version 4.0

tokenring 19 May, 2013
Hey guys!

I've tried looking in the forums for this but I think (obviously not) I have all the settings enabled for this. Basically I'm trying to allow the users to attach an image to the form.

This is what I have enabled:

Joomla globally - file uploads (registered users : jpg-png-gif-bmp allowed
Chronoforms: allowed to upload attachment on onSubmit
type of submission: file - to help uploads

debugging shows this:

Upload routine started for file upload by : input_file_art
/homepages/6/d114815883/htdocs/funkyhousebeats_test25/components/com_chronocontact/uploads/add_mix_link/20130519143109_Label_Loopity_Sunlounge_Crew.jpg has been uploaded successfully.

But I can't see the file in the folder through the web gui or the shell

I wish the new forms had the option like the old one to check the /upload path permissions. That would help a bit.

Hi Aaron,

My bet is that the file is in the correct folder if you look again; check the folder name you are using /components/com_chronocontact/uploads would usually be /components/com_chronoforms/uploads in CFv4.

I think I may have found it. It was going into the old Chronocontact folder instead of the new Chronoforms directory...

Now interestingly on the test site I see the old and new folder (chronocontact and chronoforms) but on my live site I only see the new folder (chronoforms)

I wonder why the old folder was left around?

Any way, thanks bob!
