CF Registration Form replacing Joomla Registration

Huski 07 Sep, 2010
Hi

Followed Greyheads excellent tutorial on setting up a CF registration form to replace the Joomla standard one. Followed the instructions exactly but can't seem to make it work properly. A few questions.

1. When in form Management, is there supposed to be a database table for this?
2. The email column shows enabled: 0, and disabled: 0 - does something need to be done with this.
3. I have gone to the page components/com_user/views/register/tmpl/default.php and changed it according to the tutorial but having problems with the url I need to put in there. I added the URL as per what is in the tutorial (registration.html). This works if I type in http://www.domain.com.au/registration.html as I have set up a menu item thinking this is what needed to be done. Still not working - I clidk on any of the register links on my website, I am still getting the standard joomla registration form. It doesn't seem to redirect.

I'm sure its a simple thing.

Cheers

Hi Huski,

1. No - not in the basic version. It's possible to add extra input fields and save them in a separate table.

2. No - not in the basic version. The current version of the plug-in does allow you to use ChronoForms emails in place of the Joomla! ones though.

3. Don't know, as far as I know the code in the Tutorial should work OK. When I wrote it up for he book I used the same code but redirecting to the com_chronocontact url.
