Submit time is local server time not Joomla site time.

I love the chrono comments plug in but I am having a small problem, I am not sure if it is a bug or a settting.

I am in the UK and I have my Joomla time set to the right time. However my webhosting is in the US 8 hours behind. When a comment is submitted it appears to have the time local to my hosting server applied to it rather than my Joomla site time.

Is there a way to stop this from happening and have the correct time applied? If not is there a way I can get the comments to display with a time offset?

It is a private blog site and it is mainly family that leave comments and I just know they are going to get confused.

Aopolgies if this has been answered before. I have had a look through the forums but cannot find anything.
