Hi max
I use 1.5.3 Joomla version
The Comment form appear on the artical but when load the page i get the javascript error on FF3 and FF2 and submit commant button not work
Asset is not defined
new Asset.images(images);
Line 26 on script.js
Note:
1) i Install the plugin and components
2) I didn't use the capatcha
capatch enabled = false
msharab
Hi msharab,
try it on J1.5.8, I think there is a problem with your mootools file in your joomla install! the Asset class should be there by default, Joomla has the full mootools!

Thanks Max,
Yes it is the mootools 😀 😀
I solved the problem in joomla1.5.3
Hi Elvar,
I just submitted a test comment in IE7 and didn't see any problems or errors???
Bob
Hmm..
thanks Bob i can see it worked. But my problem is not that it did not worked - but in IE if you are entering Email or Captcha code the text box which is allign to it is not use in full size. So if email is longer then 6,7 characters it goes to the left like the text in the text box is alligned to the right.
Also you can see slightly navigation buttons in the first half of the box for input comment. Just thought maybe this guy before already knew solution to it.
Elvar
p.s. there is still same error message in js script (if you are debuging)
Hi elvar,
Looks fine in IE7, can you post a screenshot of the problem please.
Bob
Hi elvar,
Thanks for that - weird, I haven't spotted that on your site or anywhere else :-(
And thanks for the thanks - these are Max's products, I just help out with some technical support.
Bob
Hi, for me too all looks fine in IE7!

Now i also checked in IE7 - it is fine...
Just to say - this topic was about js script error which also i had in both F and IE/. Then i realize in IE7 this strange behaviour too. Meanwhile i did some other debugging and probably i somehow managed to resolve this js error what i wanted to ask.
Meanwhile i also update IE to IE8 (that was the only reason - to test it) and i can say now - this problem still exist and it is only in IE8. So lets stays like that🙂
Thanks
hi elvar,
I don't have IE8, is it BETA ? can I get it without overwriting my Ie7 ?🙂

Hi,
IE8 is not in beta anymore and obviously we track development of IE very tight 😛
What i did? Unfortunately you need to update IE to have it, but then after that i installed IE7 standalone.. Very stupid...
If you do not want to test it no problem. It works and we do not want to ruin your IE7 because of that
Hi Max,
Small relief, IE8 is still at RC1 stage.
Bob
Hi Bob,
Thank you, I guessed this too! 🙂
@elvar, I will try to test it, I have more than 1 PC here to try all kinds of browsers😀 but I will do this while making the next version!!
However, the error looks like some problem with the JS code loading which may happen randomly with any browser, I remember that I saw strange errors like this before in FF even when there was no errors, so I think its the RC1 version problems or just give it a try at another PC and let me know!
