User access to form

bkgraf 22 Apr, 2019
Hello good day, I need to give access to a form to some non-public users.

Could someone tell me how it is done?

The idea is that when you click on the url of the form, ask for a login and password. And that with the users that I have in joomla can access.

Someone has some manual or images to tell me how this can be done.

Thank you.

Hi,

If you wait for the new update then you can enable access control for the whole form, then you can choose which Joomla user groups can access the form, but non logged in users will get "access denied".

Is it changing in the update? Because it already has access controls right? Per form, per event, and per action?

The next update has 4 permissions toggles for form, page, action, view, instead of having 1 switch for all permissions

Perfect, now update the chronoforms.

I already have version 6.1.0 installed.

Could you explain how the permissions for the user are configured?

Can you add images to have better explanation?

Thank you

If you start a new form, there are permission settings under the "Settings" tab, enable the "App permissions", save the form then you can control access under the "Permissions" tab

I'm sorry, I can not configure the permissions.

I need to block some forms for the public user, but for those who are registered in the site if they should be able to enter.

1. Do I have to create an access form, where I ask for a username and password?
2. How do I validate that those users do exist?
3. After being able to enter the user as I do to direct it to the form that does have permission?
4. If you are already logged in, can you access the other forms that have permission?

Again I apologize for not knowing this, it is the first time with this excellent tool.

I am attentive to your answers.

You might need to read up a bit on Joomla's Access Levels and User Groups.

1. No, you just need to have the users log in - either through the normal login page or one you create with Chronoforms.
2. By telling them to log in
3. Do whatever you want.
4. Read about access levels. They will have access to whatever you say they can access.

Thanks for your support.

Can you tell me where I can read about that topic?

Some documentation that recommends.

It's the first time I use joomla.

Google. I'm out right now but Joomla has plenty of documentation

Form > Settings > Permissions > Enable App Permissions

Then "Save" then you will have a new "Access control" area to choose which users groups to access the form, you can allow or deny any of them!
