Calculate the value of certain fields and give an error when it exceeds a certain number

So I have this form that is used to register for a event I organize. The form asks how many adults, children, etc you bring. How can I let Chronoforms calculate the total number entered in, let's say, two fields and display an error message if the total value of those two fields exceeds, for example, 8?

I'm sorry if this is supposed to be very straightforward. I'm just really having trouble figuring this one out.
