Is there an available shortcode to return the site's root URL?

I don't think so - IIRC Max posted a PHP snippet to get this a few days ago . . . but I can't find it right now :-(

Should add this to the shortcodes FAQ Bob. And {path:forward}, and if there are any other options🙂

NB these give the path not the URL - but it is the path you need for file uploads
