I think after last updates of joomla, cc5 lost routing functionality.
I mean you can set CC to display as a menu item, but any query as search or standard view acction lead into loosing menu id,
and CC display as separate from menu structure.

Do you have SEF on or off ? can you try to create a new menu item and test that ?
