After Joomla Update to v3.8 Captcha no longer works

After a successful upgrade to Joomla 3.8, the captcha in Chronoforms v4 is displayed, but always leads to a validation error if correctly entered.

With reCaptcha it works:
Here we have reCaptcha, and it works.

So there must be an issue with the captcha-plugin of Chronoforms v4. Could you please have a look at this, as we have many sites running with the standard captcha from Chronoforms?
