Now on the other hand a stun gun is more of a super high voltage device (up to 4.5 million volts) that will shock the attacker like a cattle prod. This is more of a localized pain and muscle confusion/loss of control than central nervous system disruption. They are more economic to purchase and cost less to maintain. Both of these items can be great for self defense but the person operating them should understand them. You will need to be strong and understand the weaknesses with your self defense tools.
