Hi there,

i bought today (not personally but the firm) this great component and i'm developing a form but have some problem with the design.

I want people to be able to select between different picture frames, but this will bow-up the site-layout, so i thought about putting the pictureframe-select part in a pop-up box.

Maybe someone did this before and can give me some advice how to do that. I use Joomla 1.5 and i'd be very happy if this is able whithout adding a lot extra things to the system.

Hi xpla,

Joomla 1.5 loads the mootools JavaScript framework (most of the time) so a mootools based script will be fairly simple to install.

Try Googling on 'mootools lightbox' or 'mootools joomla lightbox' here's one candidate I found but haven't tested.

I got mootools and "smoothbox" to work, but he doesn't save a value entered in the smoothbox.

http://www.wm-sounds.at/v3/message and then "Show" ...

In the mail the form sends, he recognize that there is a form element but doesn't submit the value entered ...

If you press close, everything selected is deleted (if you re-open with "Show")

Maybe someone hasn an idea how to solve this problem?

Hi Chris,

Sorry, this is way beyond anything I understand well. Perhaps you need to have a second form for the popup and merge the two results in ChronoForms. Or modify the pop-up JavaScript so that it writes the values back into hidden fields in the main form???

Well,

the hidden div gets shown if you press "Show" and this is in the same form so in the mail the form itself sends, it recognize the inputs but not the values set.

I hope this is clear and what the problem is about. Somewhere the javascript doesn't save the selected values if you press close in the pop-up.

I don't know how to write a value in a hidden field. Maybe you know a tutorial or could do this (against payment?).

Well and i don't know how to merge two forms in chronoforms? Is there a tutorial???

Hi Chris,

Writing a value in a hidden field requires that the JavaScript changes the underlying page. It will be something like form.field_name.value = xxx

To merge two forms you can edit the sql in the AutoGenerated tab so that they both write to the same table. You need to check if a record already exists and update it with the new field values.
