Contractions (wasn't, doesn't work'eth)

When ever anyone posts to the form and uses the text with special characters, they don't get stripped out, it omits the entry alltogether, anyone find a fix for this?

If it is easier to use my own email script can I do that? where would I find the instructions for that?

Magic Quotes? that is a good question, where would I look to find that?

Is that 'Enable Web Services' in the Global Config, it is set to No
