Lost Forms After Upgrade

No, am I really so stupid? Are all the forms created in previous version lost? Can I retrieve them back somehow? Maybe by installing the older version again? Thanks for the reply.

Hi radim,

I'm delighted that you solved the problem even if it did means re-doing the forms.

As you've found, if you uninstall ChronoForms you will lose your forms.

You can usually upgrade safely by FTPing the new versions of the files to overwrite the old (or rename the old folders and FTP to new empty folders). You can backup your forms either by taking Backup copies within the ChronoForms Form Manager or by backing up the '#__chrono_contact' database table usually jos_chrono_contact but the prefix may vary).

Your data tables are not deleted on an uninstall but its still good practice to back them up. Again you can either export from ChronoForms (CSV is probably best), or backup from a database manager like PHPMyAdmin.
