Not receiving e-mail from form

I receive e-mail from the Joomla site ok, the form is being stored in a table ok, but I receive no e-mail from the form. I've reduced the form to its bare essentials but still no luck. Here's the code for the form.

<input type="text" name="field1" />
<input type="submit" value="Submit" />

The form is setup to post (which I guess is working fine as entries appear in the table) and the e-mail addresses are valid. What is the minimum setup required in order for the e-mail to work correctly?face-meh-blank

The email should be working then, propably u get it in the spam or bulk folder🙂

Did you try ChronoMyAdmin for managing your Joomla database tables ?

hmm, wish that was the case. unless my isp is filtering it out, but even then I've tried sending it to my web hosting and gmail accounts with the same results. I think I saw an article here about the basic e-mail format it sends, maybe they are filtering before it hits my pop-box...

OK, I got it working. Not sure if this is a bug, but I'll report it anyway. I have a valid From Email and From Name in the global settings, but when I add an email address into "From email field" in the form setup it stops sending mails. I'm guessing this isn't a behaviour by design, so I can supply whatever you need to know about my setup.

Hi,

Thank you, just a clasrification, the "form email field" is the "your" form field where somebody will enter his/her email address, for example, you ask the site visitor to enter somedata about his self including his email address, then if you filled "form email field" with for example "email", then the form results will be emailed to you AND to the email or value used in this field!!
