Hi great guys!!

So, here again IE issue.😟
I want to upload a file jpg format.
Everything fine with FF.

To test, I tried in IE to send an .exe or whatever, and there is no error report. Despite the file is not uploaded.
Maybe it is the fact that IE is not handling the error messages? ..m no clue!

Anybody could help?

give me more info, I can't understand what happens and what you are trying to do, I don't think its wise to let people upload .exe!

Sure it is not, it is just a test indeed.

So I want to upload pictures, in the field I insert the fieldname of the file attachement and the allowed extensions (JPG and other img format)
To test it, I launched the website in FF, and tried to upload an exe file.
The validation worked out, reporting the alert message in the red bar.

I tried the same process in IE, but it didn't report any alert.
Chrome instead work fine.

Some more details:
I looked up to the db table.
In the coloumn where the name of file are saved, there are indeed the name of files stored thorugh upload wiht FF. (e.g. date+name.JPG)

Instead when I tried to upload with IE, I see that is written not the name of the file, but the path where the file is on my local harddisk... (C:/Users/../a_wrong_file_to_upload.exe)

Summary with IE:
No exe files are saved in the upload folder, but the path of the file is saved in the table, despite the file should not accepted; validation is not working.

good, you didn't have enctype in your "form tag attachment" field, please add it! you can find this in our FAQs and in many posts here!
