Calculator Widget and ReCaptcha Error

I have a dropdown field named 'qte' that adds it's total to a calculator widget on change. If the user gets a recaptcha error, the amount in the widget doubles. Is there an Event in the qte field that can prevent this from happening or another way to do so?

I've also tried this method for calculation: https://www.chronoengine.com/faqs/74-chronoforms/chronoforms6/5314-creating-a-calculation-form-in-chronoforms6 and it doubled the widget result as well.
