Chronoforms v5 Backend stopped working after Update to 5.0.16

BACKEND:
I can see the list of forms but when I click on the title to open it for editing the loading overlay never ends.
Joomla 3.8.7
Chronoforms 5.016 (5.014 was working)
PHP 7.0 / 7.1 / 7.2 >> tried everything

What is wrong?
