New tutorials

Hi,

Max has posted three new video tutorials here - scroll down the page a bit to find the links.

Tutorial 1: How to install ChronoForms : joomla beginners

2m06s - as it says this covers the basic installation process.

Tutorial 2: Basic Chrono Form : joomla users

2m38s - this one sets up a very simple name + e-mail + submit button form

Notice - these two tutorials get a simple form up and running in less than five minutes!

Tutorial 3: Advanced ChronoForm : joomla users

4m - this one sets up a simple contact form and uses the 'ChronoForms field name' entries to customise an e-mail.

I put these together for Max and there are one or two bugs and wrinkles (like the audio in tutorial 1 is a bit hissy, and there's a live link in the Form Manager that doesn't link properly in ChronoForms v2.1). We'll get these fixed soon! There are also three more waiting to be completed that look at image verification, using OnSubmit code, and creating a data table. Once these are complete we'll look at some other more common questions from here.

Please do have a look and post any comments or suggestions here.

need a tutorials update with screenshots

Postby sailsmart on Tue Apr 22, 2008 8:03 pm

I'm still having problems with getting my forms to transfer from dreamweaver. Dropdown menus and more complicated form detail is not showing up properly in the email output. I also need to know how to simplify for a save to excel. Anyone want to instruct me? Thanks.

Hi sailsmart.

No images attached. If the code isn't showing up then it's probably not good html. ChronoForms is a bit fussy but if your code is good then it should run without any problems.
